Rules
At Lord Baden-Powell, we have three very important rules:
I will be responsible.
I will be respectful.
I will be safe.
These rules are followed everywhere in the school, from the classroom to the cafeteria to the playground. The rules are posted in every classroom, so students are always reminded of the good choices they should make.
Room 26's behavior management follows these rules. Each week, a student will get a behavior card passed to them. Their behavior for each day is documented. If they make good choices, they receive a happy face stamp for that day. If they are able to get three weeks of happy faces, they get to have a special lunch with me. I like to promote good behavior, and this is one of the ways I have found to motivate them. Other incentives include raffle tickets to our weekly raffle and the X-Wing Ace: Student of the Day award.
However, poor choices will be documented on the behavior card as well. A student will receive an "H" if they did not return their homework. "R" represents being disrespectful. "S" means they made a bad choice and behaved in an unsafe manner. Behavior cards are sent home each Monday. Please review and discuss them with your student, sign them, and return them the next day.
As a reminder, students are required to wear uniforms at school. Blue or white shirts with blue or khaki bottoms. Please refer to the back to school packet for more details.Return to the Homepage
