Language Arts   Lord Baden-Powell has adopted the state approved language arts program Houghton Mifflin. The program is very comprehensive and covers all areas of language arts: reading, spelling, grammar, and writing. The second grade program focuses heavily on phonic skills, and the writing portion involves paragraph writing.
